You Dutchies have pretty good access to European releases though, anything for us here is 'an import'

Awesome man! i have been meaning to get some of the Azelisassath stuff, i have heard its really good! Did you order it from Ancient Records? i might make a haul from that site soon, i need the 3 Svartrit albums bad!

Thanks mate. I actually got my copy of Azelisassath from Schattenkult Records themselves off Discogs. Took a while to get here, but worth the wait. I really want to snag a copy of the first Azelisassath LP at some point as well.

So Schattenkult is pretty reliable, i get paranoid about ordering from really underground labels for some reason... :ugh: but i am keen to own this, have you heard the Grav and Beketh Nexehmu stuff that's on Ancient Records aswell?
I know its easy for me to just youtube it or whatever but its so much more satisfying playing on real media.

(p.s where in Aus are you ? Melbournite?)

Beketh Nexehmu I know, but need to get a hold of some physical releases, as I like what I hear. Grav I've never checked out, so there is something for me to look into ;)

I'm a New South Welshman mate, about 160km north of Sydney in Newcastle. Are you going to Black Conjuration by any chance in Adelaide this month?

Yeah that's true. There are even quite some Dutch releases. Apart from the EU/German releases.
But lately everyone here seems to look up the prices on discogs and look at the highest ones they can find. Regardless of where the seller is from or the pressing. In a couple of years the prices of thrash/death/black have gone really high, really fast.

Yea It might look like that, but it's just a normal cover. Would be awesome and fitting if it actually was though!

Sorry bout this late reply. Black Conjuration is pretty damn good two night gig in Adelaide this month. Should be killer.

Ah man! that's insane! It looks like a killer gig, so many killer bands, besides Bolt Thrower, Nocturnal Graves imo are the best on the bill, Amazing live!
(although some of those bands i don't know)

Luckily BT are playing a separate gig here at the 170 Russell street in Melbourne.
Man seeing Portal live is like putting your head into a black hole headbanging then pulling it out again, its the fucking darkest soul scraping experience :headbang:

Blind is a masterpiece I reckon, so many good tracks on it, I dislike most other COC though.
I had it on tape when I was 13, it's quite a nostalgic album for me.

I've bought a lot over the last couple of weeks, I'll try to list them by memory. All on CD, btw:

Autopsy - All Tomorrow's Funerals
Cruachan - Tuatha na Gael
Godflesh - A World Lit Only by Fire, Pretty cool, sounds like something that could have come directly after Streetcleaner in an alternative universe.
Iron Maiden - The Book of Souls, The deluxe digibook version.
Iron Maiden - A Matter of Life and Death
Mgła - Exercises in Futility, One of the best black metal albums in years. So much bleak energy and mesmerizing riffing. Mgła is the black metal band for the future.
Ministry - Animositisomina
Pentagram - Curious Volume
Sepultura - Arise
Sepultura - Third World Posse
Skyclad - The Answer Machine?
Triptykon - Melana Chasmata
Zemial - Nykta

Also bought three Reverend Bizarre shirts from Emetic Records as well. The Reverend Bizarre - In The Rectory Shirt, Reverend Bizarre - Demon Long Sleeve Shirt and Reverend Bizarre - Harbinger Of Doom Long Sleeve Shirt.

Slayer - Repentless (fuck the haters I like it!)
Act of Defiance - Birth and the Burial (D Mustaine take note)
Ghost - Meloria (Stunning)
Five Finger Death Punch - Got Your Six (More of the same. Lacks the better songwriting of earlier albums)
Ahab - The Boats of the Glen Carrig (Brilliant album, can't fault it)
Battlecross - Rise to Power (Lacks the punch of the previous two albums)
Krisiun - Forged in Fury (Classic Krisiun. Nothing new)
Korpiklaani - Noita (Needs more listens)
Butcher Babies - Take it like a man (Better than expected)
Soulfly - Archangel (Bit underwhelming)
Soilwork - The Ride Majestic (Their best since STD)
Between the Buried and Me - Coma Ecliptic (Quality)
Iron Maiden - Book of Souls (They deliver again)
Rivers of Nihil - Monarchy (Not listened yet. Good reviews tho)
Nile - What Should Not be Unearthed (Return to form. Awesome!!)
Thanatos - Global Purification (Aggro but nothing new)

Small NWN! order:

Ares Kingdom - The Unburiable Dead
Morbus Chron - Sleepers in the Rift

New AK! New AK! Fucking fuck yes! I haven't sampled any of it yet but I've heard people they Chuck and crew really outdid themselves this time. Specifically I've heard the production/guitar tone is BLISTERING. Incendiary is a classic and the debut is a scorcher. Can't wait to see what they've cooked up this time.

Never heard Sleepers in the Rift. Figured I might as well grab it cheap while I still could. I know there's meant to be some strong Autopsy influence which suits me down to the toes. I love some of the song titles. Coughing in a Coffin. Yes.

edit: Placed an order through Discogs for the Stallion EP 'Mounting the World' on tape. I've wanted this thing ever since the first spin, but it's OOP. I would have preferred CD for the car, but I'll take a tape at this point.

Another small one from NWN:

Aria - Playing With Fire
Crazy Lazy - !Que Viva El Rock!

I was dismissive of Aria originally but I think maybe that was a mistake. Sampled this one today and it sounds really powerful. Nuanced and well thought out heavy metal with an acrobatic flair in the guitar department. I don't know what to say about Crazy Lazy. The cover art rules. It's from 85 but sounds more like 79. Horrid recording quality, hard rocking...I dig it.

Ordered Ares Kingdom - The Unburiable Dead from NWN! and then decided to finally buy their debut as well, which I didn't have yet as a physical copy. Can't wait, one of my favorite DM bands these days.
