Oh! I've never seen that abbreviation for it before, haha. Yeah I'll give that a shot.

Here's a shot of it.

Who cares man, hit it with the IPA, those silver discs are usually fine :nods:
Just watch out on the printed text or any images.

Actually I think the patch is on some sort of document folder, oddly enough. I got conned out of it by an anonymous Deicide fanatic...

Aurvandil - Thrones

Snagged this off amazon for relatively cheap (just a hair over $5). I'm not sure why. I don't listen to this frozen style of atmospheric black metal much but I've heard a lot of good things and it sounds more active and less droning than I normally expect from the style.

Yeah the description said it was a radio station copy but I didn't know tha meant it would be written all over. If it's written on you need to clearly state that or put pictures of that along with the description. Anyway I asked for a return.

Well if the description says it is a radio station copy you should expect that it is somehow marked, punched or cut out anywhere. In my opinion if the seller says it is a radio station copy it is your turn to ask how exactly it is marked and not complaining afterwards that it didn't meet your expectations.

Good for your opinion. In my opinion very good/excellent condition does not include being written all over. Not including that in the item description is shady as fuck especially knowing the 99% of people wouldn't think to ask about that.

Yeah not all radio stations scribble all over their CDs. The university station I used to volunteer at had sharpie scribbles all over their LPs but the CDs were just kept in playback cartridges with the cases hidden away in a storage locker. Any markings or defacement should definitely be specified when selling any form of media. It shouldn't be up to the buyer to guess because most people have never been inside a radio station studio and therefore can't be expected to just know these things...

My local record store sells CDs with any physical markings on them as "Skuf" for $1-$4 and will give you a refund if they don't play. They also let you inspect and play it in store to check. That's how it should be done.

So, I found a copy of M.O.D.'s Gross Misconduct today at the record store, and I was super happy because it saves me the trouble of ordering it online, however my excitement was quickly shot down when I tried to rip the music onto my computer. Turns out for some reason each song starts playing a few seconds too early (as in, on the previous track), so selecting a particular song will get a jump cut for the start of the song as opposed to starting off the way it's supposed to.

For example, "In the City" starts playing during the last few seconds of "Satan's Cronies", so when you select "In the City", the song just begins with Billy going, "...living in the city!". Same deal goes for every other song after the first one (hell, even the first track kinda sounds like it starts with a jump cut).

I've been meaning to buy this album for quite a while and was excited to find one in person, so this is like a hard kick to the balls for me. Guess I'll have to find a re-press or something online which hopefully doesn't have this problem. None of this is mentioned on any Discogs page for the album as well, so either I'm the only one with this problem or nobody cared enough to put up a warning.

EDIT: Okay, scratch everything I just said up there. I popped the album into my handy dandy CD player and was surprised to hear all the songs playing correctly, then I put it back into my computer and the problem's fixed now all of a sudden. I mean, I'm happy now at least that I don't have to return the CD! Shit had me worried there for a second.

 That would be some weird-ass shit if they'd really indexed it that way. Although there's a couple of songs on Sentenced - The Cold White Light which actually do have that issue (namely "Everything is Nothing" and "Excuse Me While I Kill Myself") where the transition is a half-second off, so i'm guessing whoever mastered it had drunk one bottle of Finlandia too many.

Stronger Than Steel is pretty ruthless ay.. but they could have found a better vocalist for the last track, dude doesn't even sound like he's trying to stay in tune.

Armageddon - Captivity & Devourment
Melechesh - Enki (limited edition digipak)

Captivity & Devourment is really superior to all the albums that Arch Enemy has put out lately. Chris Amott is back my friends! Enki is my first record from Melechesh and it's absolutely awesome. Have to check out their back catalogue immediately.

Stortregn - Evocation of Light
Sarpanitum - Blessed Be My Brothers...

I bought Stortregn on a whim since I have been on a Dissection-worshipping-spree lately and apparantly Evocation of Light is supposed to sound like Dissection. Havn't listened to it yet though. Sarpanitum is death metal that just crushes. Fucking great stuff.

Oh and I also ordered the debut albums from Rattenfänger and Horrendous.

Yeah it's up there for sure. I know it's still pretty early in the year but this is definitely going to be a contender for album of the year for me.

From the local music store Rasputin:

The Order of Israfel - Wisdom. New doom metal from former Church of Misery guitarist Tom Sutton, who handles both guitar and lead vocals. Pretty good, but not as good as CoM, and not stoner. Still worth hearing for fans of his work with CoM.
Death Penalty - Death Penalty. New heavy/doom with female vocals from former Cathedral guitarist Gaz Jennings. Not bad.

Online order from Deep Discount.com:

Arkona - Slovo. One of Arkona's best albums in my opinion. Now that I've got От сердца к небу, Goi Rode Goi, and Slovo, and didn't like Yav, I've got to re-listen to Arkona's earlier albums to decide which one I might want to buy next.
Furor Gallico - Songs From the Earth. Second album from this folk metal band, and finally my first purchase of a 2015 album. Good stuff and stands toe-to-toe with their debut.
John Gallow - Violet Dreams. Finally obtained my favorite release of 2014. This is really good doom metal, and my favorite project of John Gallo's. Highly recommended for fans of Paul Chain.

A very good friend of mine gave all of this to me tonight while we were hanging out. He offered to give me the Gutted CD maybe 5 or 6 times and I couldn't possibly just take something like that for nothing, but he insisted. I've got a few things I'm gonna give him just to feel even.
The Cianide shirt and CD he got for free, which is sweet, and the tapes he said I would like.
Also, I added the lyrics to the Gutted album like 10 minutes ago (since no one else has ever bothered to), and didn't realize I was logged into a friends account, so that sucks..

Damn that's some friend you've got there, wish I had friends like that. I wouldn't worry about the points either, you only get one for adding all the lyrics.

Apparently he works a pretty damn good job cause he was like "If I want another I've got the means to buy it." Plus, he lives in a subdivision. Took me and my girlfriend like 15 minutes to find the right house, cause they all look the same..

Wearing it as of like 30 minutes ago, hahaha. He runs their merch booth at most of their shows, and has been friends with them since they started apparently. I'll see if I can pick up another shirt and ship it out to you, I know that shit is hard to come by out there.
