Nice pick! Haven't heard the other bands, but I love Vordr. Their s/t MLP is one of my most played BM releases from the past decade.

This was the only part of the Vordr discography that I was missing, was looking for this for quite a while now and catched it in a nice trade now. Hammer is also great and the others I'm gonna surprise myself what it will sound like.

These three albums:
Image

Bought them at a local show for a combined cost of $18. Quite a bargain, if you ask me!

Evergrey - Monday Morning Apocalypse
I'll admit, I really like Evergrey, especially Tom S. Englund's vocals, even though I agree with the fact that their music is not highly original. Both their Power/Prog days and their newer, Sorrow-ridden songs I enjoy. Okay, so the first three songs of this album really packs a punch. Typical Evergrey with heavy chugs, great melodies and the soaring vocals of Englund, but after the third song, it's just bland. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but it just sounds repetitive throughout the album. Now, I listened to it a second time to give it a chance, and it has slowly grown on me. It is definitely not their best, but it's nice to listen to it once in a while.

Scald - Will of the Gods is Great Power
Russian Doom Metal gem. I've heard of this band on one of those Top Doom bands compilations in Youtube, so I bought it for the hell of it, and I must say, I'm not regretting this at all! Powerful Epic Doom all around, and the Folk concept is a nice addition too. After listening to the whole album, I found out that the vocalist died years ago, which is very sad since he had one of the best Doom voices I've ever heard. Highly recommend this album for those Doom Metal fans!

Agalloch - Pale Folklore
Motherfucking Agalloch. Let me first say that Ashes Against The Grain is my favorite album of theirs, and this album I didn't give it much chance before. When I actually sat down and listen to it, holee shit. Their combination of Black/Folk and atmospheric is absolutely flawless! Every instrument is spot-on, and the vocals are grim, in a really good way. I must also include that the lyrics to this album (and Agalloch's lyrics in general) are one of the best I've read. Absolutely great combo of Song-writing and lyrics.

Quick ot question, is it worth selling cds on ebay? I have a lot of bad bad music from various lots and whatnot, I see the same cds going for $2-5 with free shipping. Most of this stuff is metalcore/groove metal/deathcore, is it worth the effort?

Interesting question, I have a similar dilemma sometimes myself, I find the common stuff 'advertises' the less common stuff.
I say just list them and see what happens, grade them accurately and provide good postage/shipping options.
Something is worth something to someone... :nods:

Amazon is also a decent place to sell things for smaller cost effective items shipping wise. They give sellers a $3.99 shipping credit so you can usually make about $1.50 - $2.00 off of that as well as whatever you make off the item but again that's only for small stuff like CDs and what not.

I have a question for you more seasoned collectors and sellers: are cassettes worth it? And how do you price them? I can buy them for about $0.50 a piece second hand and I'm wondering if there is any money to be buying and reselling them and how big the market for them really is.

Yeah, fucking stoked, too bad Csejthe were only playing the Québec City date :( We get Thantifaxath instead but I've seen them at the Messe des Morts. Crépuscule will be awesome too, their sole album is one of my favorite QCBM releases.

I got this over the past week, again it took a while to catalogue them all and make any updates at Discogs

Austrian trade/swap:
Azarath ‎– Demon Seed
Azarath ‎– Diabolic Impious Evil [whoa, this is insane, excellent stuff]
Ufomammut ‎– Oro: Opus Alter [I'm very happy to finally have some oofoomammoo]
Ufomammut ‎– Oro: Opus Primum [this is, emotional, one day I'll play this album as loud as my stereo will go]

Local buy:
Sepultura ‎– Slave New World [some odd double disc release but this is the wrong disc for the packaging, this disc is from a Digipak apparently]

From ze shop:
Diabolic ‎– Supreme Evil [Digipak on The Plague, 1st 'official' release?! damn heavy stuff too]
Godgory ‎– Resurrection [erg, I don't like this at all, an accidental purchase...]
Helmet ‎– Size Matters [US, hole punched barcode, it was cheap now I have 2 copies]
High On Fire ‎– Live From The Relapse Contamination Festival [ltd ed, nice, I've wanted this for a while]
Hypocrisy ‎– Pleasure Of Molestation [cardboard sleeve 4 track EP with misprint! wicked]
Internal Void ‎– Unearthed [quite good stoner rock/metal, pretty much what I expect from Southern Lord or Small Stone etc]
Isis ‎– Celestial [Digipak, EA07.7 catalogue number version on Escape Artist Records, this album kills it, I've wanted it for a while too]
Marduk ‎– Dark Endless [original version on No Fashion Records, Dureco matrix, no barcode, score!]
Rawhead Rexx ‎– Diary In Black [ltd ed lenticular cover, pretty sweet speed/power metal, dude has a really powerful voice and can siiiiiiing, Dickinson/Halford-esque]

Very curious about the Entrails album. Voice sounds very similar to Thomas Wouters of Bodyfarm (Malevolence) from what I've heard.

Ordered these yesterday on cd. I'm getting more into old school death metal lately. Can't wait for them to come in:

Death - Spritual Healing 2cd
Death - Symbolic
Death - Vivus
Asphyx - Last One On Earth
Asphyx - On The Wings Of Inferno
Obituary - Cause Of Death
