Swedish dark death metallers Vanhelgd will release their sixth full length, Atropos Doctrina, on July 12 through Dark Descent Records.

Glad that we're finally getting something new from this band. They scratch the same sort of itch as bands like Gorement in terms of playing OSDM with a darkly melodic bent. First single is solid, looking forward to the rest of the album.

Oh man - Relics of Sulphur Salvation from a fuckin decade ago was a good time. I haven't played that in a long time - good, crunchy, evil and melodic. Ought to get back into them.
