Not to be confused with the heavy metal band Winter.

Like many older doom bands, Winter got a cult following after they split up (1992).
After Winter's demise, Stephen Flam formed a band called Thorn, featuring Roy Mayorga (Crisis, Amebix, Soulfly, Medication) on drums.
