Formed in 1999 playing death metal under the name of Cancer Suspected Agent. Their sound became more gloomy and doom-oriented, and they changed their name to We, The Gods in August 1999.

The band split-up in 2002. We, The Gods split-up, Raymond and Mario formed Moments Of Despair.

The bands name was taken from the Anathema song with the same name, found on Pentecost III.
