Originally Uniform Choice was a hardcore punk band that released three albums and a couple of demos before splitting up. Drummer Pat Longrie reformed the band with new members and a new metal direction in 1992 and the band recorded two demos before changing name to Sol Ignition in 1994 and changing the style to more standard rock.
