In 1991 Tren Loco won the "Yamaha Band Explosion" contest, which took place in Japan, and were signed by Polygram.
Also they were opening band for acts such as Hermética, Almafuerte, Saxon (1992), Skid Row (1996) and Judas Priest (2001).
