Tatir was formed in June 1994 by Hierophant and Ancient Follower. Ancient Follower left the band after a few months. In February '95 Tatir became a two-member act again with the addition of Filid of Carpathian Forest on drums and in June '95 they added the session (at the time) guitarist Necrolord.
