Originally formed in 1982 as Sodom, they changed their name to Sieges Even because there was of course another German band using the same name.

After the band split up, brothers Oliver and Alex appeared as session/tour musicians for various other acts like Angra, Blind Guardian and Rhapsody of Fire. They also both played on Paradox's "Collision Course" album in 2000.
