Seigmen was a national success, but due to the fact that the first three albums' lyrics were in Norwegian, they never got much attention outside Scandinavia.

With "Metropolis" (which they released in two versions) they started with English lyrics, and the music turned from being a style similar to Drawn, to be pure melancholic rock like newer Anathema and Katatonia.
