The band name is "Scorpions", not "The Scorpions".

Scorpions began in 1964 as a beat band. Rudolf Schenker was also the vocalist in the beginning. Rudolf's younger brother Michael joined the band as lead guitarist in 1969 at the age of 15. Michael had been playing with Klaus Meine in the band Copernicus and both joined Scorpions at the same time.
