Sanctum were founded in Tampa, Florida in 1993 by drummer Greg Seymour and guitarist Bill Owen. That first version of Sanctum would last for two and a half years while producing a four song EP titled "Hand of Time", disbanding in the summer of 1995. In 1998, Greg relocated to his home state of Indiana and was reunited with John DeMille.
