"Sólstafir" is the Icelandic word for "radiating sunbeams".
After the departure of bass player Halldór Einarsson in 1997, for the next two years, Sólstafir performed as a two-piece consisting only of Aðalbjörn Tryggvason and Guðmundur Óli Pálmason.
