Lynott employed many session musicians for both of his solo LPs. See each album's page for a list. Both albums were recorded while Lynott was still with Thin Lizzy. After Thin Lizzy broke up and Grand Slam failed to get a record deal, in late 1985 Lynott was planning to resume his solo career, but he died on January 4, 1986, before this could come to fruition.
