Originally founded as Lord Milos in 2002, founding member Antonio Zannone decided to change name and formation to his band in order to create a more solid and live-oriented project.

"Partenos petras" (more correctly "parthenos") is the Greek translation of "La vergine delle rocce" (Italian for "The Virgin of the Rocks"), two 15th-century paintings by Leonardo da Vinci.
