The band's name is taken from the classic fantasy saga "The Chronicles of Narnia" by English writer Clive Staple Lewis. In the Chronicles of Narnia, the Lion Aslan represents Jesus Christ.

The band decided to call it quits in May 2010. They played their last two shows, with returning member Martin Härenstam, on November 30 in Mexico and December 3 in Germany.
