The name of the band was inspired by Celtic Frost's song "Sorrows of the Moon".

Started as a black metal band by the two Sorvali cousins. They started adding folk elements to their music eventually evolving into a pagan/folk metal band on their debut album "Suden Uni". They have progressively blackened their sound again, starting with the "Verisäkeet" album.
