The band was formed in 2001 by Sergey "Misanthrope" Miloserdniy under the name The Green Mile. Thrash (bass), Boris Ershov (drums) and Anna (vocals) completed the original lineup. The name (and genre) was changed after Denis Stepanov and Vladislav "Vladeath" Sivkov joined and Sergey Misanthrope became a lead singer/guitarist.

The band runs their own label, Misanthrophobia.
