Masticator was started in late 2006 under the name Urine Sample, a jam band featuring members of Belt Buckle Death Sentence. Later in 2007 the name was changed to Sarcophagus, not to be confused with Illinois-based Sarcophagus . The band had only recorded 2 demos and played 2 shows under the name Sarcophagus.
