M-80 was created by ex-Vendetta guitarist Niki Buzz (real name Darrell Young) and bassist Don Costa, the latter being known as the man thrown out of Ozzy Osbourne's band for being too outrageous. Pre shredding his skin with a cheese grater onstage with Ozzy, Costa had trod the boards with a formative version of W.A.S.P.
