Leviathan is one of the first bands from the New Wave of San Francisco Metal in the late 70's.

Rik left the band around 1980 while Kenny, Bill and Aaron continued until Leviathan kind of morphed naturally via the short lived band Vienna. Vienna became Anvil Chorus Vienna, an early incarnation of the band Anvil Chorus.
