Late into the year of 1983, Katon noticed the term "Hirax" on the antique newspaper styled wallpaper in the bathroom of Brain Keith's house. Katon thought Hirax would be a great band name and the rest of the members agreed. Known as K.G.B. at the time (L.A. Kaos before that and Kaos even still), they instantly transformed into HIRAX.
