The infamous El Kaso Urkijo were the first Spanish band to release a Grindcore LP, although there is certain controversy with the bands Rottest Slag and Seqzión Demenziados, also grindcore pioneers in Spain.

The name of the band comes from the "Urquijo case", where the Spanish marquis and marquess of Urquijo were killed on August 1, 1980. The principal suspect was Rafi Escobedo, to whom El Kaso ...
