The band's name translates to "The Banished Children of Eve", and it's taken from a line of the hymn Salve Regina.

Die Verbannten Kinder Evas was founded by Protector and Silenius of Summoning; Silenius later left the band in order to concentrate on his main one. The band often uses lyrics of John Dowland and Percy Bysshe Shelley.
