Die Krupps started as an industrial / EBM band, but began to incorporate metal elements in their music in 1992, when members of Accu§er joined the band and helped to record the album "I". In the following year, Lee Altus of Heathen joined Die Krupps and started to compose songs with Jürgen Engler, thus their sound became even more metal-influenced.
