In late 1985 Uwe and Stripe founded the Deztroyer-precursor in collaboration with Matthias Röseler on drums and singer Ralf Couard. At that time the band name was still spelled Destroyer with an "s". In 1988 the name was changed for juridical reasons into Deztroyer with a "z". The band played shows with Hades, Midas Touch, Vendetta, Deathrow, Squealer, Erosion, Emils, Arschgebuiden, Devastate ...
