After Messiah Marcolin left Memento Mori (for the first time), he joined Stillborn, and they changed their name to Colossus, to signify that it was a new, different band. Unfortunately they split up after recording two demos.

In 1996 the band was featured on Metal Militia: A tribute to Metallica II, covering "Sad but True", released by Tribute Records.
