During high school Kitsutaka and Fukuda formed the band "Sleazy Luster" in 1981.
The band took part in the Yamaha EastWest music contest in 1982.
After multiple lineup changes the band changed their name to AROUGE and released their debut album.
The band performed their last live in June of 1986, after which they disbanded due to lack of album sales.
