Originally Ancient was a Norwegian band (from Eidsvågneset). Aphazel moved to the USA late 1995 and recruited a whole new band there, but after 3 years decided to relocate to Italy after having met Deadly Kristin. He is currently (as of March 2011) residing in Greece, where it was declared that he had shortened his name to Zel.
