Ahrcana started life in 1998 as Dark Elf, but they quickly changed their moniker to Prophecy in 1999 and released a demo titled "Gates To Realm". In 2000, they selected the current name of Ahrcana.

Paolo Carboni also played in an Italian Manowar cover band named Metal Warriors.

The band recorded a new 3-tracks demo in 2005 that never saw the light, due to the disband.
