A.R.G. originally stood for Aku Raaska Group, named after the original vocalist, but it was retroactively defined as Ancient Rotten Graveguards. Reunited in 2011.

Vesa Ruokangas of Lycantrophy and National Napalm Syndicate appeared as a guest vocalist on some gigs.
