Mike Dillard | | Additional notes | The Melvins are highly regarded as a huge influence upon the sludge and drone genres. The band's genre fluctuates from release to release, playing grunge, stoner rock, drone rock, hardcore influenced rock, or experimental pieces.
The band was named after a grocery clerk at the Thriftway in Montesano, Washington where Osborne served as clerk (and vandal). "Melvin" was the most-hated fellow employee and the band's members felt it to be an appropriately ridiculous name.
You can read two different sets of lyrics for most of their songs. | | Buy their stuff | Buy from The End Records Buy from BlackScaped Search on Amazon.com
