After leaving from Bill Crooks and Rob Nicholson in the spring of 2003, Les Evans along with Brian Lehfeldt decided to change the name of the band from Cryptic Slaughter to Below.
In 2003 Cryptic Slaughter recorded one new track called "Cataract", but a few months later the band split up.
