The New York based Band was founded back in 1976 by guitarist and main songwriter Mark Reale. After completing the Line Up with Guy Speranza, Kouvaris, Jimmy Iommi, and Peter Bitelli; they began to play different clubs in their hometown.
Riot split up in 1984 after failing to make a commercial breakthrough. Mark Reale relocated to Texas and started a new band called Narita (USA), but was later persuaded to give Riot another shot and formed a new line-up.
The Thundersteel Riot line-up (along with Mike Flyntz) reunited in 2008 and split up again in 2009 after a couple of festival gigs.
The seal / man / thing mascot is named Johnny. "Don't look now, but Johnny's back again." ("Johnny's Back" from Thundersteel) | | Buy their stuff | Buy from The End Records Buy from Sonic Age Records Buy from Metal Fighters Buy from BlackScaped Search on eBay more... >>
