Biography
Timo Tapio Tolkki (born March 3, 1966) started playing guitar at the age of 7. As a young teenager, it was not uncommon for him to practice 8 hours a day.Tolkki joined the finnish band Stratovarius in 1985. Guitar World magazine ranked him in the top 50 fastest guitar players in the world.Tolkki was the longest standing member of Stratovarius before his departure.
At one point in 2004, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
He opened Goldenworks Mixing Suite, which was to be his own recording studio.
