Biography

Paul Di'Anno was the singer on the first two albums by Iron Maiden and was with the band from 1978 to 1981, when he was fired after his unreliable behaviour resulted in gigs being cancelled. In comparison to the soaring, operatic vocals of his successor in Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson, Di'Anno is remembered for having a more guttural "punk" sound to his singing.
