Biography

Often referred to as the "Godfather of Punk Rock", Pop is best known as the frontman of the legendary proto-punk group The Stooges. In addition to his work with The Stooges, he has also released several solo albums.

He still performs to this day, touring frequently with his backing band The Trolls, and, until recently, after the death of Ron Asheton, The Stooges.

Trivia

Well known for his intense live performances, where he infrequently trashes the stage, or rolls in broken glass.

He co-wrote his 2016 album "Post Pop Depression" with Josh Homme.
