Trivia

Killed in a car crash. A car operated by a drunk driver crashed into Oliva's car, killing him instantly.

Criss was the brother of Jon Oliva, who was also a member of Avatar/Savatage.

In 1989, when Megadeth was searching for a new guitarist, Dave Mustaine asked Criss if he could join the band. Criss considered doing this but eventually declined the offer as he wanted to keep running Savatage.
