"Svatasmeden og Lundamyrstrollet" is the story of an old tale from Sogndal, Valfar's hometown, about a blacksmith and the Lundamyrs, a Troll's home.

The song "Arntor, Ein Windir" is based upon an old folk song.

The album cover is in fact a WW2 era propaganda poster spread by the Nationalist Nasjonal Samling of Vidkun Quisling. The original poster reads "Mot Lysere Tider" ("Towards Brighter Futures" In Norwegian).

''Arntor'' was released in spring/summer in Norway, and autumn 1999 in the rest of the world.

Re-released in Brazil by Somber Music in December 2009.
