Lyrics were originally not printed, being cited as written for the band members and too personal to share. The lyrics were eventually released online in August 2012 as the band reunited.

On the physical CD release of the album, the front of the jewel case was covered in a sticker made of a series of vertical black lines and clear spaces in between. Sliding the artwork/booklet insert in or out resulted in a line moiré/zoetrope animation of a spinning pinwheel. This is possibly a reference to the album's working title, 950 Times Per Second, which is the supposed rate at which a black hole rotates.

Recording information:

Produced and mixed at Burning Bridge Recording (Nashville, Tennessee, USA).
Mastered at Spectre South (Renton, Washington, USA).
