The bands claim this is NOT a split album in any way, but a full collaboration of the bands Sunn O))), Boris, and several other artists:
- Jesse Sykes (vocalist: Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter) vocals on “Sinking Belle”.
- Kim Thayil (Soundgarden) guitar on “Blood Swamp”.
- Joe Preston (Earth, Thrones, Melvins, High On Fire) vocals on: “Akuma No Kuma”.
- Bill Herzog, Phil Wandescher (Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter), Rex Ritter (Jessamine, Fontanelle), Tos Niewenhuizen (Beaver, GOD) , and Steve Moore (Earth) all make contributions to this album as well.
Artwork is done by illustrator extraordinaire Aaron Horkey of Burlesque Design and Atsuo Mizuno, the drummer of Boris.
Regular jewel case version released in Japan by Inoxia Records with different cover art.

Released in 2007 on 3xLP black vinyl box set by Daymare Recordings limited to 1000 copies. Comes with a different cover art, a 16-page gold/full color booklet in Japanese and English, and includes a bonus track: "The Sinking Belle (White Sheep) (4:26). Also includes the track "Her Lips Were Wet with Venom", split into 2 tracks (One 15:10, the other 12:50).
