Trivia:
- Suicidal Tendencies themselves consider this a "double EP", despite the extremely long length.
- Tracks 1-4 are labeled as "Controlled by Hatred", tracks 5-9 are labeled as "Feel Like Shit...Deja-Vu".
- The album peaked at #150 on the Billboard 200.
- Despite being labeled as a "double EP", separate EPs for "Controlled by Hatred" and "Feel Like Shit...Deja-Vu" never actually existed.
- Contrary to popular belief, Robert Trujillo never actually played on this record and the bassist credited as "Stymee" in the liner notes was not him. This was confirmed by the band, who claimed that both Rocky George and Mike Clark handled the bass parts. "Stymee" is actually an acronym of the quote "S.T. why me" from Trujillo, who joined shortly after the album's completion and refused to be credited by his name. Trujillo does, however, appear in the videos for "Waking the Dead" and the "heavy emotion" version of "How Will I Laugh Tomorrow".

Track notes:
- Track 3 was recorded during "How Will I Laugh Tomorrow" sessions.
- Track 7 was previously never released.
- Track 9 is a far more slower version than the original.

Music videos:
- Waking the Dead
- How Will I Laugh Tomorrow (video edit)
- How Will I Laugh Tomorrow (heavy emotion version)
