Tracks 2 and 3 taken from "Strong Arm of the Law" full-length.
"Heavy Metal Thunder" only available on the British version (shown), not the Japanese version.
Released as 7", 12" and picture disc.

Saxon's highest-charting UK single, reaching No.12.

The song was written about Saxon's appearance at the 1980 Monsters of Rock festival in Donington Park, Leicestershire, UK.
Rainbow headlined, and they get a mention in the lyrics.
The title was inspired by stories of the Titanic, that suggested that the ship's band played on, while the ship sank.
