"Alkahest" is a term coined by alchemist Paracelsus in the 16th century, which denotes the universal solvent capable of dissolving any substance, even gold. The term is believed to derive from similar Arabic words.
"Voyage to Hell" is a re-recorded version of the same song from the "Detaching From Satan" EP.
With the exception of song titles, which may occasionally be heard through the album, Paul Chain's vocals are not in English. They are made of phonemata forged by Paul himself, which may or may not resemble the English language.
Lee Dorrian spent two weeks in Italy, to work on this album.
