This is their new wave material long out of print. Supposedly, Arista pressured Al Jourgensen to release a "synth-pop" style album being it was the newest popular style of music during the early 1980's. Funnily, Al had to pull off a "British" accent for every song.

Released possibly in July or August, 1983. All songs written by Alain Jourgensen except "I Wanted to Tell Her", written by Alain Jourgensen and Shay Jones. All songs published by Ministry Affairs Publishing (BMI). First LP release is an Arista promo with a gold stamp on the back. Japanese release contains a lyric sheet with words in English & Japanese.

The European release version of WITH SYMPATHY was entitled WORK FOR LOVE. It was renamed possibly to expand on the overseas popularity of the single, this is the same record except with a different, out-of-order tracklisting. "What He Say" is for some reason called "Do the Etawa". The tracklist for the European CD is as follows:

Some overseas copies of the album were pressed with the title WITH SYMPATHY on the cover, but contains the tracks for the WORK FOR LOVE release. The German release is one of them.
