Produced by Hypo Luxa & Hermes Pan and engineered by K. Auerbach, S. Spapperi, J. Herzfeld.

The album title comes from the slogan on a mug from Tisdale, Saskatchewan, whose motto is "The Land of Rape and Honey", the local economy being based on the agricultural products rapeseed and honey. Ministry, no doubt, loved the idea that the album title had many layers of meaning.

Released in late January, 1988. Re-released on August 4, 1993 (now out of print). Original Sire CD release comes housed in a color artwork longbox.

CD bonus tracks:
6. Hizbollah (3:59)
9. I Prefer (2:16)

The cover artwork is an altered, close-up picture of a burned, WWII POW corpse.
