Recorded at Ivories Studio Prague during October and November 1992.

The original CD-release "Jilemnicky Okultista" was entirely printed in the Czech language and apparently released by the band independently. It has a slightly different cover than the later released Osmose version (the cover picture is taken from a different perspective). It is supposed that this version was first Released by the band, before being licensed to Osmose.

Some pressings misspell the album title as The Filemnice Occultist.

Reissued in 2001 in a two disc set with Ritual.

Reissued on vinyl in a 4xLP set with Ritual by Nuclear War Now! Productions in February 2009.

The album, sans the last track, reads like a narrative play, telling the tale of Atrament, an occultist and student in Jilemnice, and his plight with Poebeldorf, a false captain masquerading as Satrapold, who jails Atrament and attempts to serenade Calamaria, a fellow occultist and the daughter of Spiritus, owner of the local pub. Calamaria discovers Poebeldorf's true identity, and he is put in prison once Satrapold, the true captain of Jilemnice, arrives. The final track is somewhat of a bonus and is an inscription on a stone outside of a house that reads somewhat like an epitaph.
