"Army of the Immortals" is written for and dedicated to Manowar fans.

The title track was written as a homage to England, where the band were better received at the time.

Originally released on vinyl, via Music for Nations in Europe.

Re-released on CD as part of the "Secrets of Steel" boxset.

The CD first pressing was released by Music For Nations (cat.-no. MFN CD-19).

Metal Blade released a remastered "Silver Edition" in 2001, supervised by Joey DeMaio, which includes exclusive photos and detailed liner notes from noted music journalist and Manowar historian Vinny Cecolini. The artwork is the same as the original but restored and with a silver logo.

The vinyl version on "Manowar Records" with a black border on the front cover is a bootleg, pressed around 1990.
