In 2000, EMI issued a remastered version (only available in Europe).

In 2001 Metal Blade released its own remaster outside Europe, supervised by Joey DeMaio. This Silver Edition has been digitally remastered from the original tapes. It includes a 20-page booklet containing exclusive photos, improved cover and interviews with the original members.
The artwork is the original but restored and with a silver eagle on a black background.

Re-released by Back on Black in 2009 on 500 copies on orange vinyl.

Narration in ''Dark Avenger'' by Orson Welles.

"William's Tale" is a bass solo version of the William Tell theme from the William Tell opera, originally written by Gioachino Rossini.

Manowar re-recorded this album in 2010, and released it as Battle Hymns MMXI.

One US tape version has a different tracklist:
